Carabinieri Conduct Major Raid in Peschiera del Garda Seize Drugs and Detain Drunken Suspect

On March 13, Peschiera del Garda Carabinieri conducted extensive territory checks targeting theft prevention, drug enforcement, and road safety monitoring. The operation focused on commercial areas and main roads in Peschiera, Castelnuovo del Garda, Lazise, and Bardolino, resulting in drug seizures and a DUI arrest.

During the operation, authorities seized approximately 20 grams of hashish hidden along the Lungolago Roma bike path, and a 48-year-old man was detained for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 1.97 g/l, leading to license suspension. Overall, 56 vehicles were inspected, 75 individuals identified, seven businesses checked, and 20 persons under judicial measures monitored; operations will continue in the coming days.
