Four workers fell ill during tunnel construction for the high-speed rail project in Desenzano on Friday morning around 8 a.m. The workers, aged between 18 and 49, contacted emergency services for assistance.
Ambulances, firefighters, and carabinieri arrived on the scene to investigate the incident. Fortunately, none of the workers sustained serious injuries, and investigations are currently underway to determine the causes of their illness.
