Serious accident on the A4: closure between Sirmione and Desenzano

A serious road accident occurred this morning around 10:45 on the A4 motorway, between Sirmione and Desenzano heading towards Brescia. The incident involved two heavy vehicles and a car, resulting in severe injuries to one of the occupants, who was extracted from the wreckage and airlifted in critical condition.

Four ambulances, a medical car, and the Fire Brigade responded to the scene. To facilitate rescue operations, the motorway was closed to traffic, leading to congestion that reached six kilometers and is expected to increase.
