Last Sunday, the Musica Riva Festival celebrated its 40th edition with a closing event that drew thousands of spectators to Piazza Tre Novembre in Riva del Garda. The atmosphere was electric as the audience enthusiastically applauded a concert featuring over 120 artists.

An Unmissable Concert

The evening’s program was highlighted by the performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, executed by the Padua and Veneto Orchestra along with the Veneto Lyric Choir. The event was made even more special by the presence of internationally renowned soloists: Erika Grimaldi (soprano), Elisa Hasan (mezzo-soprano), Pierluigi D’Aloia (tenor), and Markus Werba (baritone). The orchestra was conducted by Marco Angius.

Engaging Choreographies

The musical interpretation was enriched by the choreography of the Danse Ensemble Opera Studio, created by Giovanni Di Cicco, which also featured young dancers from local dance schools. The participating institutions included the Academy of Dance and Ballroom, ASD Odette, and Danza e Movimento, creating a perfect blend of music and dance.

Thunderous Applause

The performance was met with great success among the audience, who responded with ten minutes of enthusiastic applause at the end of the concert. This climactic moment represented a true celebration in the square, marked by a standing ovation that honored not only the artists on stage but also the entire festival.

A Historic Event

The Musica Riva Festival took place from July 17 until last Sunday’s closing night, featuring over 30 events in some of the most picturesque locations around the Lake Garda. This edition concludes on a positive note, with the realization of having brought great music back to the historic setting of Riva del Garda.
