Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Care
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total fund allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed by regional and European funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transport services will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social integration and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
