Cornuda Social Support Project fosters community inclusion and wellbeing

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a formal agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most disadvantaged groups. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established as well.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring patrol services and coordination among the various involved entities.

Voluntary organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.

Overall, the agreement exemplifies a collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable people.
