Cornuda Social Initiative Boosts Support for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project in support of the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included various representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and several volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims especially to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening centers and gathering spots will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and fostering solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved entities.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
