Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Enhances Support for Vulnerable Groups
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
