Cornuda Social Support Initiative: Local Projects for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total funding allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens, aimed at safeguarding and improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable individuals.
