Cornuda Social Inclusion Project: Efforts to Support Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participating in the operation were some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in the organization and management of activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable individuals.
