Cornuda Social Support Project Launches to Aid Vulnerable Residents

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, such as the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for community encounters and solidarity.

The role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
