Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Vulnerable Residents’ Well-Being

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total allocated funds for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also fostering opportunities for community meeting and solidarity.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring security services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
