Cornuda Social Initiative Supports Vulnerable Groups Through Community Projects

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included local political and social forces, such as the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total funds allocated for this initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most fragile groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and meeting centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gatherings and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the different involved entities.
