Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Elderly and Disabled

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, creating opportunities for encounters and solidarity among citizens.

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
