Cornuda Hosts Cooperation to Support Vulnerable Residents

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will span two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total funding allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring supervision services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will have a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable people.
