Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Groups

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents within the municipality. The total allocated budget for implementing the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation services will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

Role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable people.
