Cornuda Social Support Project for Elderly and Disabled Initiatives

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization opportunities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating moments of meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various components involved.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation by the local community.
