Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Community Inclusion and Care

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was signed at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to endorse a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically seeks to improve the quality of life for elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most disadvantaged groups. Social transport will also be expanded, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for those involved, creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing oversight and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.

Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens, aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
