Cornuda Social Support Project Launch Aims to Aid Vulnerable Residents

Cornuda Convention

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces attended the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and to improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meetings and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
