Cornuda Social Support Project Aims to Improve Elderly and Disabled Lives

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be expanded, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for the involved individuals, creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing surveillance services and coordinating among the various involved entities.
