Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Inclusion with €100K Funding
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating moments of meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will have a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
