Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Groups
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, particularly seeks to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for implementing the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and EU grants.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, while also creating opportunities for community engagement and solidarity among citizens.
Role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various participating entities.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens, aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable people.
