Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Well-Being

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, among them the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total allocated funding for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be expanded, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life of those involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The municipal administration has committed to supporting these initiatives, providing services for oversight and coordination among the involved components.
