Cornuda Social Support Project. Collaboration Aims to Improve Elderly Care
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total allocated funding for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transports will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, while creating opportunities for contact and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the different involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
