Cornuda Social Support Project Agreement Enhances Vulnerable Residents
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to endorse a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which is scheduled to last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total funding allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life of those involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.
Role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the weaker members of the community.
