Community Support Initiative in Cornuda Promotes Social Inclusion
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On early June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will have a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the weaker groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
