Community Initiative Supports Vulnerable Groups with €100K Funding

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On early June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign an agreement for a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives from local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association (associazione di quartiere), and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
