Local Initiative Supports Vulnerable Groups Through Community Collaboration
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives from local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteering organizations.
Goals and Funding
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.
Activities and Expected Objectives
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the categories most in need. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
