Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Regional and EU Funding
Start of the agreement and participants
On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total sum allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and EU funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need. Social transport will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
