Cornuda Social Support Project Launched with EU Funding in 1996
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
