Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Community and EU Funding
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to around one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Planned Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
