Community and Institutional Collaboration for Vulnerable Support in Cornuda
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at assisting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives from local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighbourhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last for two years, is primarily aimed at improving the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the groups most in need. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centres will be established.
