Cornuda Social Support Project: EU Funds Boost Inclusion and Care

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
