Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Elderly and Disabled Residents

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the day early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the weaker categories. Additionally, social transports and facilities, listening centers, and gathering spots will be strengthened.
