Regional Project Supports Vulnerable Residents Through Community Collaboration
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On early June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last for two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total allocated budget for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union grants.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include domiciliary assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the frail populations. Additionally, social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will be strengthened.
