Cornuda Social Support Project Seeks Social Inclusion and Community Engagement
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the socially most vulnerable individuals.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various voluntary organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to about one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need.
Additionally, social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering spots will be enhanced.
