Community Support Initiative in Cornuda Aims to Enhance Social Inclusion

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most socially vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which has a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need.

Social transport services, support services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be expanded.
