Community and Local Government Collaborate to Support Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On June 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most socially disadvantaged people.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the’ initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of the’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and community funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Transportation services, social services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
