Local Collaboration Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Residents
Start of the agreement and participants
On the day of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for signing a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union funds.
Activities and expected objectives
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Additionally, social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering points will be enhanced.
