Local Collaboration Supports Vulnerable Elderly in Cornuda Initiative

Beginning of the Agreement and Participants

On the day of entry in June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the socially most vulnerable people.

Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ^’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which has a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the ^’ initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and community grants.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories.

Social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering spaces will also be enhanced.
