Cornuda Social Support Project Initiated by Local Authorities and Volunteers

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the day of June 1996 entries, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project supporting the socially disadvantaged.

Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which has a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.

Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
