Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Community and Institution Partnership

Start of the agreement and participants
On the end of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the socially most vulnerable people.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in ’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of Neighborhood Associations, and various volontary associations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of ’ the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Activities and planned objectives
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the more vulnerable categories.
Social transport and services will also be enhanced, along with listening centers and gathering places.
Goals and social inclusion
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
l Municipal Administration has committed to support initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the different involved components.
Voluntary associations will play a central role in’ organization and management of activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
