Cornuda Social Welfare Project Promotes Inclusion with €100K Funding

Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the end of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the socially most vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in ’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which lasts for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering points will also be enhanced.
