Cornuda Social Welfare Project Boosts Community Inclusion with Regional Support

Start of the agreement and participants

On the end of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project in favor of the socially most vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and funding

The project, which has a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and EU funds.

Activities and planned objectives

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need.

Social transports and services, listening centers, and gathering spots will also be enhanced.
