Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K Funding for Vulnerable Residents

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the end of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most socially vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in^’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which has a two-year duration, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of seniors and disabled residents within the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of^’ the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Community funds.

Activities and Planned Objectives

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.

Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering spots will also be enhanced.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

^The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the different involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in the ^’ organization and management of activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
