Community Initiative Supports Vulnerable Residents in Cornuda
On June 30, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most disadvantaged members of society.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims particularly to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of’ the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories.
Social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering spots will also be enhanced.
