Fire at Gardaland

A fire broke out on Thursday, August 7, at around 2 p.m. in the employee parking area of Gardaland in Castelnuovo del Garda. The flames may have started in an electrical cabinet housing a generator group, producing a dense smoke column visible from afar. Firefighters from the Bardolino station and on-site security staff responded, containing and extinguishing the blaze.

As a precaution, park management temporarily shut down three attractions and interrupted a scheduled show at the theater. The emergency ended after about two hours, once the area was secured and operations resumed. Investigators are still working to determine the cause and reconstruct what happened.
