The history of Thermalism in Sirmione experienced a momentous transformation in 1987 when Prince Manfredo di Collalto assumed the presidency of Terme di Sirmione, succeeding Count Rambaldo di Collalto, who had guided the company with visionary leadership since 1946.

Alongside Vice Presidents Franco Gnutti and Dr. Francesco Cerioli, the administration initiated pioneering clinical research and infrastructural modernization. Key milestones included the introduction of the revolutionary micronized nasal shower developed by Professor Fernè in 1990, expanding therapeutic applications for respiratory wellness, and the major expansion of thermal hotel facilities in Colombare in 2004.
