Moniga del Garda Hosts Ambrogio Frigerio’s Exhibition at City Hall

Moniga del Garda hosts a new art exhibition by Ambrogio Frigerio, titled *Diario Interiore*, on display at the ground-floor multipurpose hall of the Palazzo Municipale in Piazza San Martino 1. The show runs until Monday, 7 September, presenting a collection of creative figures, faces, and objects that trace the artist’s work through different subjects and original visual solutions.

The exhibition’s main focus includes images featuring children, couples, dancers, and groups shown in everyday or suspended moments—such as kids sitting by a pool ready to kiss a dog, women with intense gazes, and dancers captured mid-flight in white or red outfits. Other works depict people walking under colorful umbrellas and include abstract sail-like shapes on canvas, with the only landscape reference tied to the lakeside setting rather than a full territorial depiction.

A second section highlights Frigerio’s more technically experimental production, featuring unusual lamps made with wood and metal elements, luminous threads, and mixed details that incorporate clocks, female sculptures, swans, and hybrid faces. The exhibition also reflects on the artist’s path—after 41 years of work and retirement—along with quoted remarks that question “new theories” and call for a more concrete, relaxed approach to creating new works.
