CentoMiglia del Garda Draws 100+ Boats Ahead of 76th Edition

More than 100 boats are expected on Lake Garda for the 76th CentoMiglia Internazionale, scheduled for Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September with starts and finishes in Bogliaco di Gargnano. The event, organized by Circolo Vela Gargnano on behalf of the Italian Sailing Federation, will feature the ORC regatta, Multicento, Cento People, Cento Junior, and the Homerus match race.

A provisional entry list updated to 2 September includes 95 ORC boats, with further entries possible. There are 12 double-handed crews and four boats in the ORC Classic division, while Multicento and Cento People currently list five boats combined. The fleet also includes 22 Dolphin 81 and 14 Asso 99, with competitors such as QFX SUI 1 by Thomas Jundt (Trofeo Gargnano winner in 2025), Idefix by Marco Cavallini, and Lexotan by Giovanni Montresor, alongside Jo Richards and Roberto Benamati.

On the water, Friday opens with the Homerus race for visually impaired sailors at 9:00, followed by Cento Junior at 13:00 between Gargnano and Villa. Saturday includes the Trofeo Gargnano (Bogliaco–Gargnano–Desenzano–return) at 8:30 and a second Cento Junior day at 9:30, while Sunday features the Trofeo Gorla at 8:30 and Cento People at 9:00. The ORC Overall final ranking will be based on the combined results of Trofeo Gargnano and Trofeo Gorla with no discard, awarding the Trofeo Bettoni, while double-handed crews compete for the Trofeo Beppe Croce. In Bogliaco, the event will be supported by music, shows, and food trucks, with talk and opening events on Friday and performances including Omar Pedrini on Saturday; live updates and GPS tracking (Kwindoo) will be available via the event’s social channels.
